I sometimes go for a ramble on Dollymount beach, North Bull island, which is about 3 to 4 miles from Dublin's city centre. I have often been struck by the patterns and shapes of the shifting sands and the ebbing and flowing tide. Abstract form has always appealed to me. So, just using the camera on my phone, a Samsung Galaxy S6, I decided to create a number of triptychs from different contours and outlines that caught my eye.
